If you’ve been worried about what’s going on in Ukraine, that’s okay! I’m here to give you some important information about it! So you can take a seat, relax and have a read!

 

In case you’re confused, I’ll give just a little background information about the whole situation. On February 21, 2022, the president of Russia, sent troops in to “keep the peace” in Ukraine. Just mere days later, Russia launches a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The actions of Putin were condemned within Russia and even throughout the whole world. Since then, there has been ongoing fighting and war and struggles, but we must stay educated and connected in order to handle things in a good way. 

 

So much loss and devastation have occurred throughout both areas, and although it doesn’t look like things will let up soon, we should stay educated and listen for updates to see if there is anything that the people here in the US can do to help. Whether that be donating to organizations that are trying to help the people of both countries or anything otherwise. 

I’m not entirely an expert on the subject so I can’t go into much detail, but I can tell you that you should not be looking for information anywhere other than credible sources, and your parents. This means to take things that you see on social media about this ongoing situation with a grain of salt. I can tell you that a very large percentage of the “information” that you find through TikTok and everywhere else, will be false. You have to know what you’re looking for and how to find it! Always be sure to check websites that you know will share credible information and give you the facts that you’re looking for!
